Rosario Vera is the Gil Family’s most recent venture, taking them to the famed Rioja region. Named after the 4th generation’s mother, the winery is a testament to the role she played in the continuity of the family business. The Gil family purchased small plots of Tempranillo, aged between 15 and 60 years, in Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta, at altitudes between 1,300 and 2,600 feet. The vines are all dry farmed, without the use of pesticides or herbicides and are all hand harvested. Each parcel is fermented and aged separately in French oak barrels.
