Description
The Diane Cobb block is the heart of the estate Coastlands. This 1.5-acre block is both own-rooted and planted to a myriad of clones that my mother put into the ground in 1989. I’m going out on a limb to say this might be the best Diane Cobb to date. While I loved the 2017, the 2018 amazingly is an improvement. It has all the spice and power that you expect from the estate along with a purity that I haven’t seen in past vintages. There is both a lushness and a gamey-ness that you don’t see in the other wines. It’s like you took a killer rock band and added an orchestra behind it.The Diane Cobb block is the heart of the estate Coastlands.
