Description
Deep purple color. A floral and spicy nose. A complex, rich wine and soft tannins.
Robert Parker- 2018 was not that different from 2017 in terms of temperature, but it was a little warmer than 2019. The red 2018 Tinto de la Casa was produced with Malbec—50/50 grapes from Las Compuertas and Gualtallary, fermented together with some full clusters in oak vats. It has an explosive and aromatic note with notes of flowers and herbs. The flavors are pungent and focused, with very integrated oak but with some spices, with fine-grained tannins, good complexity and depth. This is quite sophisticated and feels like a more expensive wine than it is. A bargain! 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2019 after one year in oak vats.
