Therefore, Rosso di Montalcino has earned the nickname of ‘baby Brunello.’ Also, Rosso di Montalcino wines spend less time in wood compared to Brunello di Montalcino, and are perfect for more simple meals of classic Tuscan fare and/or Italian cheeses and olives.
