The majority of this wine is sourced from Calistoga, where temperatures are quite warmer than the rest of the Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon loves the warmth of the late afternoon and the grapes from the Glass Blower’s vineyard benefit from long days and cool nights, resulting in an elegant, lush wine with complex layers of flavors.
This classic Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and structured. Aromas of deep black fruit lead to flavors of juicy plum, blackberry and baking spice. This wine is full-bodied and excellently balanced, it’s finish persistent and elegant.
Wine Enthusiast 94 Rated- An impressive Cabernet that celebrates the region by bringing together succulent dark fruits with a bright wash of acidity and an enticing integration of aromatic woods, baking spice and cocoa powder. The tannins persist while being powder fine allowing the option to age or enjoy now.
Decanter 93 Rated- Most of the grapes for this Napa Cabernet are sourced from Calistoga, with additional fruit from the Oak Knoll District and Yountville AVAs. It showcases upfront black cherry and plum fruits, complemented by delicate cedarwood spices, mocha, and sandalwood nuances. Medium-bodied with supple, fine tannins, it finishes with hints of cola spice, sage, and thyme, offering a harmonious and enjoyable experience. Aged in 30% new French oak, it is impressively approachable and balanced for such a young wine and should be enjoyed at cellar temperature around 57°F (13°C) alongside meat-lovers pizza or burgers
