A true expression of CULT Cabernet Sauvignon and all it is intended to be. First released in 2008 and is culled solely from barrels selected with complex aromatics, voluptuous texture and purity as well as depth. This wine demonstrates structural intensity, balance with fresh acidity and über plush tannins all elements that make them very age-worthy but ultra-inviting. Layers of vibrant cassis, black cherry, and black currant interplay with infusions of graphite and sweet tobacco that unfold. The palate displays profound density woven with finessed tannin that transcends to a seemingly endless and intense finish
Robert Parker- The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult is a blend of their two estate properties located on Silverado Trail, one west of Soda Canyon and the other being Stag’s Ridge Vineyard, which stits at 1,400 feet in elevation. It is composed of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak. Deep garnet purple in color, it bursts from the glass with opulent baked plums, raisin cake and creme de cassis notes, followed by suggestions of cigar box, dusty soil and Chinese five spice. The full-bodied palate offers mouth-coating dried berries and exotic spice flavors, with a chewy texture and refreshing lift on the finish.
