This wine comes from the Bordeaux region in France, which is known for producing some of the world’s best red wines. The 2019 vintage was a good year for Bordeaux, with warm weather and good growing conditions leading to high-quality grapes.
Upon opening the bottle, the wine has a deep ruby color with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a rich, velvety texture and flavors of dark fruit, including blackcurrant and plum. The tannins are well-integrated and provide a nice structure to the wine, without being overpowering.
As the wine opens up, it reveals more complex notes of tobacco, leather, and spice. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a pleasant lingering taste of dark fruit and oak.
