Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering personalized recommendations and guidance on wine selections.
- Assist customers in locating and choosing wines based on their preferences, budgets, and occasions.
- Conduct wine tastings and educate customers about different wine varietals, regions, and food pairings.
- Handle cash transactions, operate the point-of-sale system, and ensure accurate pricing and inventory management.
- Receive and stock inventory, ensuring shelves are neatly organized and displays are appealing.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including regular cleaning and restocking of supplies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new arrivals, and promotions to provide up-to-date information to customers.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a strong interest and knowledge of wines.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and educate customers effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes of wine (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
