I'm back again this Sunday at Ed's Fine Wines!  Ed, Perry and myself have been trying to restock the shelves from our incredible sale we had on Friday.  For those of you that missed it fear not.  This Sunday I'm bringing you ten great specials on some spectacular wines.  I'm talking deals on brands like Rodney Strong, Rancho Zabaco, Voga, Schug and many others!

Charles de Fere "Jean Louis" Blanc de Blanc Brut  $5.99 (Reg. 7.99)
Those of you looking for a great everyday sparkling wine need look more more!  Charles de Fere is a wonderful sparkling wine made in France.  Pale gold color with fruity and floral aromas.  Elegant and refined, but affordable!

Pebble Creek Cabernet Sauvignon $7.99 (Reg. 9.99)
What a value!  Upfront aromas full of currant, blackberry and black cherry match up perfectly with hints of vanilla and toasted oak.  Pebble Creek Cabernet will deliver!

May I suggest:  Pan-Fried Meatloaf (YUM!)

Andre Brunel Cotes du Rhone $6.99 (Reg. 9.99)
Don't miss out on this deal!  Andre Brunel is imported by Robert Kacher Selections Inc. out of Washington, DC.  This particular importer is world renowed for sifting through the heaps and heaps of wines from France and selecting some of the finest wines available.  This Rhone blend of Grenache and Syrah comes from the hills on the right side of the Rhone river.  Don't miss this one!

Diamond Oaks Carneros Merlot $7.99 (Reg. 9.99) 
The abundant sunshine and and cool marine influences of Carneros have allowed this area to become a world renowned grape growing region.  Diamond Oaks has created a beautiful merlot from their estate grown fruit.  Blackberry and plum flavors are abundant throughout the palate.  Silky tannins glide effortlessly down you gullet and contribute nicely to the depth of this wine.

May I suggest:  Grilled Pizza with Sausage, Peppers and Oregano Ricotta

Voga Italia Pinot Grigio $7.99 (Reg. 9.99) 
What a great deal!  Just in time for the summer I've got a hot special that will cool you off!  Voga is on the richer side of pinot grigio.  Apples, apples and more apples showcase this fruit forward and refreshing Italian white wine.

May I suggest:  Shrimp and Scallop Risotto

Fattoria Bibbiani Poggio Vignoso Chianti $9.99 (Reg. 12.99)
This is a great buy!  This family has been making wines for 13 centuries!  85% sangiovese along with a touch of Canaiolo and a pinch of Malvasia to round it out.  All in all, this is a well rounded, palate friendly style chianti.

May I suggest:  Chicken Pasta

Rancho Zabaco Sonoma Heritage Vines Zinfandel  $10.99 (Reg. 14.99)
This is my kind of zin!  This big, bold and critically acclaimed zinfandel balances the best of both sides of the zinfandel grape.  Upfront flavors of ripe blackberry jam slowly melds into underlying hints of black pepper. 

May I suggest:  Spanish Style Pork Chops with Chorizo and Red Pepper Sauce


 
Alidis Ribera Del Duero $11.99 (Reg. 15.99)
Decant this bad boy and your in for a treat!  Wines from the Ribera del Duero region (one of Spain's most famous wine growing regions) are heavily oaked and based on a Bordeaux like mixture (cab, merlot, etc...) with a few extra native grapes thrown in.  Don't miss this one!

May I suggest:

Rodney Strong Russian River Pinot Noir  $14.99 (Reg. 17.99)
A big hit!  The Russian River Valley is the ideal place for pinot noir is California.  Rodney Strong's offering has a soft texture with rose petal and red fruit.  Gentle ageing in French oak adds hints of toasty vanilla.

May I suggest:  Bacon and Blu-cheese Wrapped Chicken

Schug Sonoma Coast Chardonnay $14.99 (Reg. 19.99)  92 Points - Wine Spectator
What a find!  Rich and mouth-filling, this big chardonnay will shock and amaze you.  Don't take my word for it though, the Wine Spectator gave it 92 points!
