Ed Giancola is a longtime lover of wines. He
was born in Italy and his favorite wines come from
there as well. When he's not helping out
customers or selecting wines for the store Ed enjoys
spending time with his wife Jane and cooking Italian
food.
All of the wines below are
available at the store. Come on over and let Ed show
you around!

2001 Maestro
Sanguineti
Brunello Di Montalcino 2001 was one of the best
vintages of Brunello I've ever tasted!
Sanguineti’s Brunello is a powerful, decadent
expression of marasca cherries, black tea, coffee
and pomegranate. The tannins are smooth, silky and
well-integrated. This wine will age for over 20
years.
$16.99 Reg. $24.99
2004 Salviano Turlo Nestled in the beautiful
rolling hills of Umbria lies Tenuta Salviano.
It is in this area that some of my favorite wines
are made. Turlo is a blend of Sangiovese,
Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. With a rich,
pomegranate color, the wine shows complex and
intense aromas of ripe fruit and jam. It is rich in
body with soft, persistent tannins.
$49.99 Reg. $54.99
2003 Coati Bruno Amarone 2003 Amarone is the king of
wines and the wine of the kings. The process
used to produce Amarone labor intensive and time
consuming. The old style Amarone is expressed
in this bottle. Rich, broad shouldered, dry wine
with beautiful legs. Notes of raisins, ginger,
tobacco and wild cherries are in harmonious balance.
$15.99 Reg. $24.99
2003 Palazzo Della Torre This is a steal!
This blend of 70% Corvina Veronese, 25% Rondinella
and 5% Sangiovese is a smooth, full-bodied cru made
in an innovative ripasso style. Dense and deep
ruby red in color, Palazzo della Torre is loaded
with luscious aromas of currant, blackberry and
licorice. Full-bodied and rich it is a classic
accompaniment to grilled or roasted meats and
barbecued ribs. This wine was selected as part of
Wine Spectator's Top 100!
$13.99 Reg. $17.99
2006 Bracco Pinot Grigio I just love the Sopranos, so
when I heard Dr. Melfi (Lorraine Bracco) was making
wines I bought some for the store. All the
grapes are hand selected and hand picked from top
notch vineyards in north eastern Italy. The
aromas of fresh, crisp pinot grigio grapes are just
bursting out upon opening. Try this with fish
or as an aperitif.
